The Family Physicians ACO Blueprint for Success
The NCAFP partnered with Raleigh law firm to create a summary guideline to help family physicians navigate the world of Accountable Care Organizations. This is a must read for surviving and navigating this new model and quickly summarizes why you need to be an educated and engaged physician when it comes to discussions on ACOs.
The Family Physician’s ACO Blueprint for
Success, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 2 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP accreditation begins April 14, 2011. The term of approval is for 1 year(s) from this date, with option for yearly renewal. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medial Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category I credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported at Prescribed credit, not as Category 1.
